Overview

People report to people within our self-service systems. There are times when a manager will change, and employees need to be assigned to a new person. This is routinely done by the company's payroll administrator. But, should a situation arise where a complete restructure is required it may be useful to have Datacom process a bulk upload of the organizational structure.  

Client Responsibilities

If a client requires a full company organization structure, the consultant will provide the client with a template. The template would provide: 

• Company number  
• Employee code 
• Employee name  
• Manager code 
• Manager name 

 
The new Managers' information can be added to the spread sheet and returned to Datacom. The new mangers will then be imported into the system.  When changes are imported, the employee code and manager code is the primary source of information.

Note:

Changes in organisation chart will update the online reporting structure. If there are reports sent out to managers from the payroll system, these would contain filters that uses the structure as setup in the company's cost structure. Datacom recommends to request Report Users Subscription Report prior to the company organisational structure changes if Client sends any automated reports for manager.
When changes are imported, the employee code and manager code is the primary source of information. Should the manger not have a code, this can blank so that Datacom will identify the valid relationship through the username
