Processing a Termination pay


Overview

Employees come and go in every company and termination payments are processed on a regular basis. This is part of normal BAU.

Client Responsibilities

If a termination payment is required, the client will need to provide the below information using the following methods: 

  • Direct Access: The details of the termination will need to be entered through Admin Direct Access, using the Employee Modification screen.
  • Excel: A single Excel spreadsheet summarizing all employee changes may be submitted for the payroll period. 
  • Email: A single email detailing all employee changes for the payroll period. 


Information needed upon request:

    • Employee name or code  
    • Termination date for employee 
    • Termination reason if applicable 
    • Any additional instructions for the final payment example: lump sum, redundancy, section 123 etc  

EasiPay Responsibilities

Datacom will calculate the termination pay as requested and terminate the employee in the payroll system with the date and reason provided. If any information provided is unclear, Datacom will query this with the client. Once confirmed, the final pay calculation will be processed and will appear on the authorisation reports.
