How to make corrections to JobMaker Nominations Status

Editable field to remove previously nominated employees. 

This can be done via bulk changes.


Cancelled New Hire - indicates removal of nomination for the employee as they should not form part of claim. 

This should only be used to indicate that the original nomination that should not have been provided. It is not to be used to report the cessation of an employee, this should be reported using a cessation date.


Cancelled Rehires - indicates removal of rehire nomination for the employee as they should not form part of claim. 

This should only be used once to indicate that the rehire nomination should not have been provided. It is not to be used to report the cessation of an employee, this should be reported using a cessation date.


NOTE: The design for rehires does not support multiple rehires after one rehire, should this occur an employer will need to contact the ATO directly to manage this situation


How to make corrections to JobMaker Period Status

Editable field to remove previously declared JobMaker period.

Cancelled Period between 1 to 8 - indicates removal of previously reported JobMaker period.

For example an employer had sent though employee as having met quarter test for period 2 (07/01/2021 to 06/04/2021) in error the employer 'MUST' sends through:

-Bulk change on or before the 28 July 2021 to notify ATO period correction a selecting Cancelled Period 2This action will override the existing period declaration sent.

-Additionally followed by mandated STP Update Job will report both JMHC-NOM / JMHC-RENOM ( previously sent ) & period JMHC-P02X allowance codes.

Note: this code should only be used to correct/remove a previously provided code for that period. It should not be used to advise that an employee did not meet the test for this period, (there is no negative declaration to say a test was not met, only a positive declaration to say it was)

For example an employer had met quarter test for period 1 (07/10/2020 to 06/01/2021) and 3 (07/04/2021 to 06/07/2021) but not period 2 (07/01/2021 to 06/04/2021)

-Bulk change on or before the 28 July 2021 to notify ATO period correction selecting Cancelled Period 2 would be incorrect selection as there was no period declaration sent ( e.g JMHC-P02 ) therefore to report a removal/correction here (e.g JMHC-P02X) would generate incorrect allowance codes submission via STP (refer to guidance on None reporting for period declaration).

If you have previously removed declaration that the employee has met the minimum hours test for the period then this will report a corresponding JMHC-PXXX - where “XX” refers to the JobMaker Hiring Credit Period below as an other allowance code on the STP Employee CSV Report.
