JobMaker Period

JobMaker Period Status:

Editable field to nominate eligible employees met the minimum hours test for the period

Drop down chevron options

None - only used to indicate employee not eligible in the period (optional by client who self monitors).

For example an employer had met quarter test for period 1 (07/10/2020 to 06/01/2021) but not period 2 (07/01/2021 to 06/04/2021)

-Bulk change on or before the 28 July 2021 to notify ATO that employee not met the quarterly test selecting None. This action reports nothing on the STP report.

-This option override the previous period submission and reports/displays no period allowance code on the STP report for the period.

Best practice would be to leave the New Value field as unchanged in the proceeding periods.

For example an employer had met quarter test for period 1 (07/10/2020 to 06/01/2021) but not period 2 (07/01/2021 to 06/04/2021)

-Bulk change on or before the 28 July 2021 leave New Value field as unchanged (e.g Period 1 ) as no requirement to notify ATO that the employee did not meet the test for the subsequent period ( e.g Period 2 ).

-If the mandatory STP Update Job sent will report both JMHC-NOM ( previously sent ) & period JMHC-P01 allowance codes ( reporting the previous period that was last sent ).

Note: this option should only be used to provide that an employee did not meet the test for this period.

Period between 1 to 8 - indicates the period in which the nominated employee has met the minimum hours test for a JobMaker that the employer intends to claim for. Employers will need to report this quarterly that they met the eligibility criteria.

For example an existing ( Jobmaker ) employee has met quarter test for period 2 (07/01/2021 to 06/04/2021) the employer 'MUST' sends through:

-Bulk change on or before the 28 July 2021 to notify ATO period. This action will override the existing period declaration sent.

-Additionally followed by mandated STP Update Job will report both JMHC-NOM ( previously sent ) & period JMHC-P02 allowance codes.

Note: this allowance code should only be used to provided code for that period. It should not be used to advise that an employee did not meet the test for this period, (there is no negative declaration to say a test was not met, only a positive declaration to say it was). It is expected that the period declarations (JMHC-PXX) should only be provided by an employer when positively known.

For example, if you have previously nominated either a new hire or rehire for JobMaker and declared the employee has met the minimum hours test for the period then this will report a corresponding JMHC-PXX - where “XX” refers to the JobMaker Hiring Credit Period below as an other allowance code on the STP Employee CSV Report.
