Employee





The Employee tab is where changes which only impact a single employee can be made. The bulk of the personal data will be stored on the Employee Details page, however there are additional fields in the More Details section if required.

For some settings (such as work patterns) we suggest that these are not set at Employee level, but within Employee Groups instead, in order to avoid confusion and incorrect pay setups when employees switch between Employee Groups.

Allowances or Deductions that a specific employee is to receive every pay run can be set up in the Employee Pay Components screen, however be sure to understand the difference between Pay Components and Component Setup - which is especially important at Employee scope. Any component added to Pay Components will be generated automatically on pay packet creation, using the values entered in the Pay Components screen. However, if a component is added into a Pay Packet manually through the Add Component tab, it will use the values from the Component Setup screen.
