Company

Company scope is where the default component values for the company should be set, as any changes made at Company level will generally effect all employees. However, these settings can be overridden at a lower scope level (Pay Group, Employee Group, Employee) when required, to suit specific situations.

Care needs to be taken when changing component values at Company scope as these can be high impact changes. However, if an employee already has an existing value set at a lower scope (Pay Group, Employee Group, Employee) then the new Company value will have no effect until the overriding value is removed.

The Company tab is also where you will find various options, slightly outside of pay processing, which can be used to customise the feel of DataPay. For example the Company Options screen allows you to upload branding information which can be used on Payslips and ESS / Direct Access.
