Data Import - New Employee (bulk)
New employees can be imported in bulk through the below wizard when large amounts of employees need to be entered at one time. Please note that after the import is complete, you will still need to complete the employee setup in DataPay (e.g. setting up allowances / deductions, employee groups etc)
Note: once the import is complete you will need to close and reopen your Employee Search tab to refresh the list in order for these new employees to be visible.
Information for filling out the template:
- Do not remove, rename, add or re-order any columns in the import file.
- Ensure you do not include any commas in the text of the file (e.g. in the address or salary fields) as this will cause the import to fail.
- For some columns only select values will be accepted. A list of these columns and possible values is below.
- For Cost Structure, Division, Cost Centre and Department must be filled out. Sub-department onwards can be left empty if required (levels 5, 6, 7 and 8).
- ESCT rate must be entered in decimal form (e.g. 0.03 for 3%)
The template can be downloaded from the Bulk Import tool as shown in the below screenshot.
