Data Import - Employee Home Cost Allocations
Employee Home Cost Allocations can be bulk updated via a Datacom only import. This import is not directly available for clients to use at this time.
Data must be supplied in the correct format using the supplied template which is attached to this page.
Information for filling out the template:
- A sample row has been left in the template as a guide - please remove this before submitting the file to the Support Team for import.
- The template has columns for an 8 level Cost Structure. Most companies do not use all 8 levels - if this is the case for you, simply leave the unused columns empty. Do not delete the unused columns from the file.
- The 'Company Code' column must be filled in for every row, however only one code can be used throughout the entire file - i.e. if you need to import for two companies you will need to use two separate import files.
- Dates must be in the format dd/mm/yyyy as seen in the sample row of the template. Note: the date format requires two digits for both the day and month portion. Do not use excel for formatting dates as it will drop the leading zero from a date field (e.g. 01/01/2020 becomes 1/01/2020)
- The 'Start Date' column is the start date of the new Home Costing for the employee, meaning their existing Home Costing will be end dated one day prior (the same as if you did this via the Employee Details screen). If no Start Date value is entered for an employee, the import will wipe clean any existing Home Costing data and enter a new Home Costing as at their employment start date.
Please note:
- Datacom charges our standard consulting rate for any imports completed on behalf of clients. There is a minimum charge of 1 hour.
- We are not able to alter / modify / make corrections to any data supplied.
- Data to import must be supplied in the correct format for our system to accept using the supplied templates. We cannot convert data into this format on your behalf.
