Payslips - Add HELP Repayment

The ATO has previously renamed HECS/HELP as STSL (Study, Trade and Support Loans).

For Australian employees who would like to view their PAYG withholding for these debts, the DataPay application is able to display these STSL Repayments on Payslips on a pay-run by pay-run basis.

  • Click on Company tab > Components Setup

  • Search for PAYG > right click and select reports

  • Select Payslip in the report drop-down > Click Add Section

  • Type "STSL:   $" under the Select Text section > Add

  • Click STSL Withholding under Select Parameters > Add

  • The STSL withholding will display on the same line as PAYG on the employee's payslip
  • If the employee has any values entered in on the Tax Offset field in their employee profile, this function will also display any applicable Tax Offsets on the employee's payslips.
