Editing SAFF files in Excel
There may be instances where you need to amend a SAFF file prior to uploading it to your nominated Superannuation Clearing House.
If the CSV file is opened, then it will change the date format in the file and it will not be able to import.
- Open a blank excel workbook and click on Data.
- Click on the From Text/CSV button and import the SAFF file
- A table is then created with the data from the imported SAFF file.
- Untick the header row created via Table Design (or design)-> Header Row then delete the first row as the this is not required
- Make your required changes then save as CSV
