Generating SAFF Reports

The DataPay application is able to generate upload files in Superannuation Alternative File Format (SAFF) which can be uploaded to your nominated Superannuation clearing house. These reports are based on the SuperStream standards.

To generate the report, you will need to add it to your list of available reports.
From the Reporting Tab right-click on the Pay Group Name and select Add/Remove Reports

Select Custom Reports.

The column on the left will be reports that are currently not added to your available reports, the column on the right will display the reports that are currently added.

Double-click on SuperStreamSAFF and it will appear on the column and click OK

If your company has multiple pay groups, repeat the steps above to add the report for the other pay groups.

Please Note: If the SuperStreamSAFF report is not available for you to add, please contact the DataPay Support Team to request this report to be made available for your company.

Now the report is added to your pay group click Open Report > Custom >Select SuperStreamSAFF and Open

The report options will then display.

If you choose to run the report over a specific date range, enter in the Start and Finish DC Dates in the following format (YYYY-MM-DD).

Once your options are set click OK and the results will display on-screen.

Click Export Report and the export options will display.

You will have the option to rename the file and choose the file path of where to export the report.

However you must change the Output Type to CSV. Tick the option for Exclude Headers from CSV, untick Open Generated File and click OK.

SuperStream requires the file format to be in CSV and will not accept any other format.

Please avoid opening the CSV file in Excel before it is uploaded to the Clearing House. Doing this will break the date formatting in the file and will not be able to be uploaded to the clearing house.

If you do need to check the file before uploading, please make a copy of the file and rename it to "TEST" and then open in Excel.
