Creating New Work Patterns


By default the DataPay application will have a number of preset Standard Employee Groups for most variations of Full-time hour work patterns.

However if you require a work pattern for part-time employees or employees with irregular hours you can create a new employee group to cater to these hours. 


  • Select the Employee Group tab, and select Add Employee Group


When assigning the Employee Group name please keep the naming conventions similar to what has already been created.
So you should include the hours per week, the hours per day, and if public holidays are applicable or not.

“E.g. Sal 20hrs (Mon – Fri 4hrs) with Pub hols”


  • Select the employee group type 'Pay Condition'.
    The Region should remain blank as this field is set at Employee Level and save it.
  • Select the Work Pattern icon

       

  • Complete the Standard Hours Per Week and Standard Days Per Week field - this flows through to Report Builder
  • Tick the days worked - this will enable the hours per day to be automatically assigned
  • Tick the Pay Public Holidays box if Public Holiday Taken is to appear on payslips instead of Ordinary Hours Worked when a public holiday occurs
  • Ctrl+S to save the work pattern for this employee group

       


Now you can assign the employee to this group from either the employee group screen or the employee profile screen.

If there are multiple employees who will be using the same work pattern, you can assign multiple employees to the same employee group.
