Create Work Pattern for more than 14 days

Sometimes you may require a work pattern for part-time employees or employees with irregular hours for more than 14 days.

  • Add a new Pay Condition Employee group > Save

  • Click on Work Pattern and click on the More Details link on the right

  • Right-click Definitions to create a New Work Pattern

  • Give it a name and tick the Cycle Length and enter Days > Next

  • Click ‘Add’ under value

 

  • Under Company Components > Payments > Ordinary Hours Pay > Ordinary Hours Worked >OK

 You also can enter the Default Value under here as option

  • Give hours under each days ( If need add more value can click add under values again)

If this employee group uses Public Holidays, click Add under Assignments (needed as Public Holiday taken is not normally in a Main pay packet - this will assign the component to the pay packet.  Value's added will assign the hours/days taken)

  • You can now enter in the hours and days as required.

  • After you have set up the work pattern, Press Ok for next step. You will need to assign it using the appropriate start day by right click > New Assignment

Eg: your PE ended on Sunday, then Monday will be Day 1 of the new pay period, so you will select Day 1 from the drop-down list for the Start Day.
