Rule Templates



Rule Templates stipulate leave entitlement and anniversary dates and are mandatory for each employee using that leave type.
In most cases Rule Templates will be automatically applied to each employee when they are set up with Employee Groups that require one. Employees are created with Sick Leave and Holiday Year (Annual) Rule Templates by default which flow down from Company scope.


When setting up an Employee Group which requires entitlement and anniversary dates, Rule Templates must be created within them as they provide parameters to ensure information and timing is accurate.


Rule Templates can be set up at Company, Pay Group and Employee Group Scopes, and are applied to the employee at Employee Scope.



In the event that an employee needs to have their Holiday Year dates adjusted (e.g. they started as a Casual then moved to Full Time) then can be done in the Employee Tab > Rule Templates screen by clicking on the existing date.
