How are you feeling about the proposed changes to the Holidays Act?

The proposed changes include switching to an accrual system for annual leave and a pro-rata system for sick leave to better reflect actual work hours. While any changes to legislation are some time off, a draft bill will undergo targeted consultation this September.

Introducing Renata, our PAYE Intermediary Expert

Meet Renata Klackova, a vital member of our specialised PAYE Intermediary team dedicated to ensuring clients comply with their PAYE obligations. Renata manages payroll tax, reconciles accounts, and liaises with the IRD to resolve any issues.

How long have you worked in the PAYE Intermediary team?
Since 2018, and it has been a great 6 years!

What do you like best about your role?
I love that we can resolve the issues customers might have with IRD, and I like reconciling imbalances to make customers happy. We know people don’t always enjoy calling the IRD, so we’re happy to do it for them.

What’s your strength when it comes to PAYE?
I love working with the numbers – working out what’s wrong and how we can fix it.

What’s the most difficult part of your job?
I don't think there's anything difficult, honestly. I consider myself an expert! Sometimes a client asks a question that is not related to our field, but I will go and educate myself and get back to them with what I’ve found.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I am pretty creative. I like baking and crafting – things like making earrings with beads.

Datapay x Humanforce Customer Summit

It was a pleasure to welcome the Humanforce team to our two joint customer summits this year, where our customers enjoyed a variety of insightful sessions.
