How to set up a Closedown Period

DataPay’s “Annual Leave Clearance Payment” company component has been modified and renamed to S34 Closedown Payment to make it clear the situations in which the component can be used, in accordance with section 34 of the Holidays Act 2003.

If this is the first time your company is using the S34 Closedown Payment component, you will need to select it as a Company Component:

You will need to set the Company Annual Leave Anniversary Date to your company’s nominated closedown date on the Company Details screen. This will automatically apply to all new employees going forward and becomes their new anniversary date for annual leave entitlement purposes only. Once this date has been set, it is unable to be modified.
