Will the employee be aware that I have used the termination wizard on them?
The employee will only be terminated if the termination package is applied to a pay run. Depending on your company configuration, Direct Access and MyPay user accounts might automatically be end dated a predefined number of days after the termination date.
Why is the employee not available to select in the termination wizard?
The employee was either terminated manually or they have had a termination package applied to a pay run.
Why can I not terminate an employee manually?
You cannot terminate an employee manually if a termination package exists, either applied or unapplied. Follow the Deleting a Termination Package steps.
Why can I not apply a termination package to a pay run when one shows as available to delete in the termination wizard?
If you exit the termination wizard early, the package will be in draft status and cannot be applied to a pay run. You will need to either delete the package or follow the steps again to completion.
