Overview
Bank files can be sent to the client for processing as part of their finalisation reports. This would then require the payroll/finance team upload the file into their banking system.
Datacom offers two automated banking options; AMSL (ASB Management Services Limited ) and Direct Banking (ANZ and BNZ)
AMSL Banking Service
KeyLink generates and sends a bank file to ASB Management Services Limited (AMSL). AMSL debit your nominated company bank account and credit your employees' accounts.
- The funds are debited from the nominated company bank account and credited to your employee's bank accounts on the evening of Direct Credit (DC) date.
- AMSL charge $3.25 per batch plus 21c per transaction.
- To use this service, a letter of credit (LOC) is required from the Client's bank.
- There is an annual fee associated for having a LOC in place, charged by the Client's bank.
- AMSL can only debit from a NZ bank account and credit the funds to NZ bank accounts.
- To use the AMSL service, forms need to be completed and returned to Datacom. These forms will be forwarded onto AMSL.
- AMSL will forward the LOC application on to the clients bank.
- Once the LOC has been sent to AMSL they will advise that the automated banking service can begin.
- If the company bank account number changes at any time, the registration process is again required, and new account cannot be used until the new LOC has be provided.
- If you would like to use this service, please advise your EsaiPay consultant which bank the payroll is going to be using so they can provide you the relevant forms.
Datacom Direct Banking Service
Datacom offers a direct banking service to customers of ANZ and BNZ.
- This service does not require a letter of credit in place as the money is debited from your ANZ/BNZ account.
- Datacom charges 30c per transaction for this service
- ANZ/BNZ can only debit from a NZ bank account and credit to NZ bank accounts.
- The bank file is PGP encrypted and is sent to the ANZ/BNZ server.
- ANZ/BNZ pick up the files and credit directly to the employee's accounts.
- This service is real time banking, the funds are credited into the employee's bank account within 15 minutes of the payroll being finalised, if payroll is finalised on the same day as the DC date.
- If the payroll is finalised prior to the DC date, the funds will be released between 6am and 7am on the DC date
- If you would like to switch to this service, please contact your EasiPay consultant who will provide you with a new Datacom Supplementary Agreement and the bank's Third Party Authorisation form.
- Once the completed Third Party Authorisation form has been returned to Datacom, it will be sent to your bank to be registered. They will advise Datacom when this has been done and the new banking service can begin.
- Please note, if you are currently on this service and awish to change the bank account (provided that it is still either ANZ or BNZ) a new bank's Third Party Authorisation form will need to be filled again. Once the bank has given approval the new account can be used. If the bank account you are changing is not ANZ or BNZ, you will either need to sign up to AML Banking service or do you own bank file upload
