Manually Terminating Employee

  1. Select employee in employee search.

  2. Select Terminate Employee.

Termination Reason

  • Not mandatory.

  • Completed if reporting on predefined termination reasons through the report builder is required, e.g., Transfer to NZ.

  • Reasons can be customised through Company → Company Options → Configure Company Reasons.

STP Termination Reason

  • Mandatory.

  • Required by the ATO for reporting through STP Phase 2.

Termination date in a future pay period

If a termination date is input that exists in a future pay period to the current open main pay period, the section at the bottom will have its two options appear requiring one to be selected.

It is very important that each option is properly considered before applying the termination.

Select if all future pay periods due will be paid manually in the termination.

Select if terminating the employee in advance and want them to be included in future main pay runs per the standard payroll process.
