Proxy Details
Within Direct Access there is an ability to assign proxy permissions to users, enabling the user to temporarily act on behalf of another manager. This functionality will give the proxy the ability to approve/decline leave requests for any direct reportee of the manager, and approve timesheets. The proxy user will not be able to see any personal details of these reportees.
There can only be one active proxy relationship per manager at one time i.e. one person can act as a proxy for multiple managers simultaneously, but each manager can only have one active proxy.
Manager Proxy:
A manager can assign a proxy while they are on leave to approve their direct reportee's leave requests and timesheets.
The easiest time to do this is when a manager is creating their own leave request.
This can also be done from the Proxy Details screen.
A user cannot be assigned as a proxy if they have already assigned someone else as their proxy for that date range.
On the Proxy Details the manager can also see a list of the people they are a proxy for (people they have approval authority for) and people they have assigned to be their proxy (people assigned to approve on by behalf). Both of these lists do not show proxies from more than 2 months ago.
If a user has been assigned as a proxy they can view and approve the leave requests of their proxy reportees. They can also see the leave requests of the manager they are a proxy for.
Payroll Administrator assigning a proxy on behalf of a manager:
Users with Payroll administrator right are able to set proxy on behalf of a manager. Simply go on Admin Direct Access > Company Structure > Proxy Details.
