Using the Leave Calendar

Users with Manager Access will be able view the leave calendar for visibility of a direct reportee who has applied for upcoming leave whether it be in Pending, Approved, Unapproved or Withdrawn Status.


 

Users with manager access can also apply for leave on the reportees behalf. For example, if the reportee is absent and unable to place a request for leave in-time for the upcoming payroll process, the manager can do so for them. From the left-hand side menu, click on Leave > Leave Calendar>Select the employee from the drop-down arrow:


 


On the right-hand side of the screen, click on the Leave Type drop-down to select leave type > Enter the From for the date that the leave commenced > Enter To being the date that the leave concluded. The hours will automatically default to the reportees standard hours however, should this not be the amount of hours the reportee request leave, this can be overridden by typing in the actual leave hours taken. Manager can then choose whether to enter a comment however, this is not mandatory, only the fields with the red * are mandatory.




If the manager has a medical certificate for the reportee, this can be uploaded by clicking Add Document. You can add this document by drag and drop from the location you saved it to on your PC. As a manager, you can also add additional fields such as File Name, Tags and Comments however, these are not compulsory. Once done, click Upload.



If a reportee wishes to request leave for the future and the manager wants to know whether the reportees entitlement will cover this leave, the manager can simply click on Click to Check Projected Leave Balance.


Once the manager have completed all mandatory field for the the request on behalf of the employee, click Save Leave Request.
