Submitting Leave Requests

Employees can easily submit leave requests through their Direct Access web-portal. 

From the left-hand menu, click on My Leave.


The employee's leave calendar will display with any pending, approved or withdrawn leave to also appear on the calendar.

To submit a new leave request refer to the right-hand section under New Leave


  • Select the Leave Type from the drop-down menu
  • Select the From (Start) date and To (End) date for the leave request
  • The Hours Taken will automatically calculate according to the employee's work pattern. However this field can be modified if the employee is only taking leave for part of a day(s).
  • Comments can be added in the free text field, if required
  • Documents such as Medical Certificates can be added to the leave request as an attachment, if required
  • Once the details are entered in click Save Leave Request

A notification will be sent to the employee's manager for approval and the leave will display on the employee's calendar and will be in a pending status until it is approved or declined.
