Role Name | Description |
---|---|
Employee Self Service | This is the basic role for employees with online payslips or timesheets. This role allows the user to log in to ESS / DA to view and update their personal information, and view their payslip history or inputtimesheet hours (if these modules are enabled). The amount of information employees can view / edit can be managed through the DataHR module. |
Payroll Administrator | This role adds four additional tabs, Leave, Company Structure, Configuration, and DataHR. |
Payroll User | A Payroll User has access to the Pay Run, Employee and Preferences tabs. A Payroll User can send employee change requests, upload and approve timesheets, add new employees and send Pay Runs to be processed. |
Dashboard User | A Dashboard User has access to the Executive Dashboard tab which shows multiple interactive widgets showing different of company statistics. |
Manager Dashboard User | This role allows the user to view additional widgets which are exclusive to managers. If you are both a Dashboard User and a Manager Dashboard User, there is a button located at the top right where you can switch between Executive view and Manager view. |
Company Organisation User | This role allows the user to view and assign / move employees within the Company Organisation Structure (if this module is enabled). However, this user cannot assign proxy relationships. |
DataHR Administrator | This role allows you to manage the templates, fields and permissions that employees can use to upload and provide additional information. |
DataHR Field Administrator | This role is the same as DataHR Administrator except does not have access to Manage Templates. |
Remuneration User | Adding this role allows the user to view their Remuneration History in the Web Client. When given in conjunction with the Payroll Administrator role it allows the user to access the Custom Benefits screen, and create benefits / assign employees to benefits. Adding this role allows the user to also remove assigned employees from Custom Benefits and remove Custom Benefits (only those with no employees assigned). |
Remuneration Administrator | In addition to to the Remuneration User role access, this role grants access to edit Remuneration History and Benefit Management in the Web Client. When also combined with the Payroll Administrator role it allows the user to access Custom Benefits screen. Adding this role allows the user to also make benefits Obsolete, remove benefits with no assigned employees and change existing benefit values only. |
Workflow Administrator | This role gives access to the Workflow tab allowing the user to manage existing workflows and create new ones. The Workflow Module is part of DataHR. |
Pay Run Authoriser | The role of Pay Run Authoriser is to authorise the pay run before the pay run can be finalised. Each pay group has the option to Enable Pay Run Authorisation and to also select the number of authorisers it requires. For more information on Pay Run Authoriser, view the article available on DataHelp. While this is a Web Client role it is strongly tied to the Client application. |
Leave Screens User | This role allows the user to view and change leave requests and to also view leave balances. |
Deny Leave Access | This role denies access to the leave tab. This does not override the Payroll Administrator role, and is designed for Direct Access only. |
Deny Timesheet Access | This role denies access to the timesheets tab. This does not override the Payroll Administrator role, and is designed for Direct Access only. |
